White tea is the tea bud of the tea leaf. It is the first purest shoots that appear on the tea bush before it opens out to form the green leaves that we recognise.

We have put together a collection of teas based around a selection of white tea. A wonderful tea can be brewed from these beautiful teas, offering a very light slightly sweet tea. It should never be drunk with milk and brew at nothing hotter than 80 degrees,

White tea contains the same amount of caffeine as green and black teas, but is slightly lighter in tannin.
